Bienal of Flamenco is a festival held every two years at Seville and is staged in the various existing theaters in the city. The festival involved the most representative artists of flamenco song and gives the opportunity for promising new genre that are incorporated into the music scene. The first Biennale was held in 1980 and in September 2008 celebrated the XV Biennial. The Biennial, has a series of shows since it first sought to link the Biennial with the world of Plastic Arts, theater, cinema, music, poetry. In the first edition was given a trophy named Giraldillo that has since been suprimido.
